Samsung created "fly eyes" VR helmet

Letsgodigital reported that South Korean giant Samsung patented a unique VR helmet Odyssey Mixed Reality 2020, the outer panel of which is made in the shape of fly eyes.
According to sources, the helmet is equipped with four cameras to identify the user's position, headphones and three control buttons are included in the pack. Two front cameras were also integrated into the device.

Helmet is based on a combined human position assessment system, which consists of both inward and outward approaches. Thus, outside-in includes fixed cameras, which are located at a distance from the user, while inside-out, on the contrary, operates at the expense of cameras inside the device itself, identifying the position of the user relying on fixed points outside.
