Tesla is about to release its first cars made in China

Tesla is about to begin delivering its first Model 3 vehicles made on Chinese soil. The cars are being made on the company’s fresh Gigafactory in Shanghai
The cars made in China will be cheaper, than their imported analogues, since they avoid the 10% import tax. Chinese authorities also made Model 3s more appealing by providing a purchase incentive of up to US$ 3 600 per vehicle.
Shanghai facility is Tesla’s first operational gigafactory outside of the US. There is a facility near Berlin being developed, and a certain project, which remains undisclosed, will be revealed at a later date. Shanghai gigafactory also managed to secure US$1.4 billion in funding from a number of Chinese banks.
