WhatsApp’s fingerprint unlock is out on Android
By enabling this feature, you will have to scan your finger every time to launch the app. This is an additional level of security similar to that found in banking apps.
The upd ate is not yet available worldwide, but as soon as it is out for your device, WhatsApp will inform you that you can activate an additional level of security in the app’s settings. In addition, an option will be available that allows the messenger to remain unlocked for a se t time period.
A new feature on Android was reported on WABetainfo blog; it appeared in beta version of the app in August. Unfortunately, unlike iOS that supports Touch ID and Face ID, the new feature only supports authentication with a fingerprint scanner.
