Booking.com is no longer promoting eco-friendly hotels
Booking.com hotel reservation service has run a test during which the company celebrated eco-friendly hotels. However, just a month later, the online service discovered that accommodation of this type was booked less frequently than others. In response to the results, Booking.com stopped the testing period, writes the Travolution.
In the past, users stated that they were interested in eco-friendly hotels. Ironically, it turned out that their opinions and actions did not match at all, said the managing director of Booking.com in the Asia-Pacific region Angel Llull Mancas at the conference Web in Travel.
Booking.com supports startups and social organisations that focus on sustainability by providing both financial and professional assistance, said Lul Mancas.
