Elon Musk is ordered to shut down electric car factories
Elon Musk is pressured to shut down Tesla electric car factories because of the coronavirus. While being skeptical about the panic surrounding the infection, the entrepreneur hoped to avoid this outcome.
San Francisco Bay Area authorities and local sheriffs ruled that Tesla should shut down the plants for three weeks. The company has so far ignored the quarantine regulations.
The self-isolation order came into effect in the bay area the other day. At first, Tesla representatives decided that this measure would not affect the company, as it would be considered an "important business". The sheriff said Tesla was not in that category.
At the same time, Musk allowed employees to stay home if they felt ill.
