Benefits of surfing the web during work have been identified
Computers in Human Behaviour journal has published the results of a study, which identified the benefits of sitting on the Internet while working. Thus, short pauses on social networks during working hours help to increase job satisfaction.
In the course of the study, the researchers analyzed the behavior of about 258 students, tracking their level of job satisfaction, as well as recording calls for dismissal and negative experiences at work. It found that even people who were mistreated at work but were able to surf the Internet while at work showed higher levels of satisfaction, as well as a lower desire to change jobs.
According to experts, sitting on the Internet during working hours can not only reduce stress levels, but also increase productivity. Thus, it is noted that minute pauses contribute to a burst of energy, which leads to increased productivity.
